Viitehinta on alhaisin hinta, jota sovellettiin tuotteeseen 1-30 päivää ennen kyseisen hinnanalennuksen toteuttamista. Poikkeuksena ovat asteittaiset hinnanalennukset, jolloin ilmoitetaan alin hinta 1-30 päivää ennen ensimmäistä hinnanalennusta.
